Alida is looking for a hands-on HR Manager to help shape and run a modern, technology-enabled HR function. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in building efficient systems, leveraging automation, operating as a high-impact team member, and managing two team members - a Payroll/Benefits specialist, and a Recruiter. You’ll take ownership of day-to-day people operations while streamlining a scalable approach powered by AI-powered technology/systems and/or agents.

What You’ll Own and/or Support:
HR Administration across the employee lifecycle to include:
- Onboarding
- Offboarding
- Payroll
- Benefits
- Compliance
- AI Technologies
- AI Enablement
- Optimization and management of HR systems that align and support Alida’s agentic objectives
- Designing and/or implementing automated workflows to reduce manual work
- Acting as the primary point of contact for employee support and HR operations
- Supporting hiring coordination and foundational talent processes, adjusting to the workforce and business needs as the company evolves.
- Managing vendor relationships across HR, payroll, and benefits
- Ensuring compliance with all necessary employment standards where applicable and within all geographies such as Canada, US, EMEA, and the Philippines that Alida operates
What Makes This Role Different:
Reporting into Finance, you will lead a lean, high-impact HR function. You’ll work with modern AI-based tools and automation rather than traditional HR processes. You’ll have the opportunity to enhance and integrate systems from the ground up. You’ll help shape what a tech-enabled HR function looks like in practice.
This role is a strong fit for someone who:
- Enjoys building and optimizing systems more than maintaining legacy processes
- Is comfortable working independently and owning outcomes end to end
- Has experience with HRIS, ATS, and related or adjacent platforms
- Is curious about automation, AI, and new ways of working with AI Agents
- Thrives in environments that are evolving and not yet fully defined

- Someone looking to join a large HR team with specialized roles
- Someone who prefers highly structured, fully built out environments
- Someone who wants to focus primarily on strategic HRBP work without hands on operational and administrative ownership

Additional details:
- The typical salary range for this role in Canada is $125,000-135,000 CAD depending on experience.
- We are looking for candidates based in either Toronto or Vancouver, we work on a hybrid basis
