The Role

As an HR & Employment Relations Advisor, you will deliver expert, commercially focused HR advice to a diverse and growing client base. This role is predominantly telephone-based and requires strong technical HR knowledge, sound judgment, and confidence handling complex and sensitive employee relations matters.

You’ll support clients across a wide range of HR topics—from day-to-day employee management issues to high-risk and complex cases—while building trusted advisory relationships and delivering an exceptional client experience. This is an office based role. Compensation Range: $65,000 - $75,000 dependent on experience. This is an existing vacancy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing expert advice on complex HR and employment relations matters including terminations, disciplinaries, and performance management
  • Conduct in-depth consultations, offering practical, strategic solutions to complex HR challenges
  • Demonstrate subject-matter expertise while empowering clients with best practices, compliance guidance, and legislative updates
  • Lead high-level client discussions, providing insights and recommendations aligned with employment legislation and business needs
  • Review and analyze client documentation, delivering tailored advice aligned with employment law and contractual obligations
  • Take ownership of complex HR cases from initial consultation through to resolution, building strong client relationships
  • Stay current with employment legislation, case law, and HR best practices through ongoing professional development
  • Meet or exceed KPIs and SLAs, with a focus on quality, accuracy, and first-call resolution
  • Accurately document all advice, case details, and client interactions in Salesforce and related systems
  • Follow internal escalation protocols and demonstrate discretion when managing sensitive matters
  • Actively participate in training to ensure technical knowledge remains current and robust

What You Bring to the Team

  • CHRP, CPHR, or CHRL designation
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant HR or employment relations experience
  • Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience working in a KPI- or target-driven environment (shared services experience is an asset)
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and solution-oriented
  • A passion for delivering exceptional client service
