Vanguard’s International Organization, in partnership with the Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO), is on a mission to transform how data drives investment success for our clients to change the way the world invests. Role Overview: We are seeking an influential leader to join us as the Head of Regional Data & Analytics for Americas’. This leadership role will report directly to the regional Chief Information Officer, with a matrix reporting relationship to the Chief Data Analytics Officer and will have a one-of-a-kind opportunity to influence and propel Vanguard’s regional data and technology strategies. 
The Head of Regional Data & Analytics will oversee D&A professionals in the region, be responsible for strategic transformation of our existing Data & Analytics groups, and be entrusted with developing team culture, enriching collaboration, and enhancing data impact across the region. 
**This Hybrid role (in office Tues, Wed, Thurs) is based in Toronto, Canada** 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Define and build capabilities across the entire D&A lifecycle, including data strategy, governance, curation, reporting, and AI/ML. 
  • Navigate the complexities of a diverse portfolio of businesses across multiple geographies. 
  • Balance regional needs with global data strategy and governance standards. 
  • Ensuring data protection and compliance with varying international regulations. 
  • Driving cultural change to build a data-driven mindset across different teams and regions. 
  • Integrating advanced analytics and AI/ML into existing processes to enhance decision-making and business outcomes. 
  • Oversee Data & Analytics professionals in the region, enhancing the team’s collaboration and impact. 
  • Support business strategy and client outcomes across Vanguard’s global business lines.

Qualifications: 

  • Hands on experience with cloud-based data platforms, analytics, reporting & transformation tools. 
  • Demonstrated ability and experience with using AI/ML models, strategies, and tools to enable AI-Led insights and decisions. 
  • Ability to translate technical, regulatory, and/or legal requirements into clear, understandable actionable requirements for the business. 
  • Demonstrate ability to manage a diverse group of professionals and skilled at working through others along with experience in building and leading highly effective teams. 
  • Superior organizational and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully up, down, and across the organization. Excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong presentation skills to senior management. 
  • The ability to work in ad-hoc/dynamic and fast-paced environment with frequent time-sensitive deadlines.
