Job Opportunity
As the Head of People and Culture at SWTCH Energy, you will be the steward of our most valuable asset, our people. You will play a pivotal role in continuing to shape and evolve our culture, ensuring our team remains highly engaged and motivated. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will work closely with the senior leadership team and the board to drive strategic HR initiatives that are meticulously aligned with our mission, values, and overarching business objectives. The SWTCH team is lean, motivated and driven by our mission to realize a clean energy future.
Responsibilities

- Workforce planning with executive leadership team
- Align team Objectives and Key Results to organizational priorities to ensure all departments are working towards common goals, improving coordination and resource utilization.
- Provide ongoing support and tools to help teams manage their workflows effectively, enabling them to focus on high-priority tasks that support the company’s growth.
Further People Operations
- Develop your team and support implementation of enhanced HR policies and procedures that comply with legal requirements across Canada and the USA.
- Create structure and plan for the full employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and career development, with an emphasis on retention and growth.
- Enhance existing performance evaluation processes, ensuring feedback is constructive and aligned with business goals.
- Manage competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent using data as a tool to educate and inform employees on the compensation philosophy.

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, with at least 15 years of leadership experience.
- Ability to work closely with the advisory board and propose people strategies in line with business needs.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations where our people work across North America.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a positive organizational culture.
- Experience with DEI initiatives and driving cultural diversity.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
