Location: Work from home - Canada

As Head of Marketing, you’ll be responsible for developing and leading the marketing strategy at Commerce7. This role combines strategic vision along with hands-on execution. In this role, you will manage all aspects of our marketing efforts, including building comprehensive strategies, mentoring a small team, and ensuring alignment with company objectives to support growth.

The ideal candidate has a strong track record of designing and executing marketing strategies that build brand awareness, engage target audiences, and generate qualified leads. You will collaborate closely with the President of Commerce7 and other stakeholders to contribute to the company’s success and its mission to help wineries deliver exceptional customer experiences.

About us:
Commerce7, owned by Fullsteam, is a Vancouver based software startup that empowers wineries with the right tools to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Wineries use our software to sell through all direct to consumer sales channels including ecommerce, point of sale, reservations, and subscriptions.

Over the past 5 years we’ve grown to serve over 1800 wineries across 8 different countries ranging in size from mom and pop operations, to multinational enterprises.

In this role you will:

  • Manage and mentor a small but growing marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

  • Craft the company marketing strategy encompassing branding, lead generation, and market positioning to drive growth.

  • Prepare and oversee annual marketing budgets

  • Participate in the quarterly and annual planning of company objectives

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing strategies and initiatives.

  • Regularly report on marketing performance, providing insights and recommendations to optimize results.

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform marketing strategies.

  • Ensure brand consistency across all channels, including campaigns, events and trade shows, digital platforms, and promotional materials.

  • Work closely with the sales team to align marketing efforts with revenue goals and sales targets.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Proven success in a senior marketing leadership role, preferably within a B2B SaaS or technology environment

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring small teams.

  • Expertise in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working across organizational levels.

  • A minimum of 4-6 years of marketing experience preferably within SaaS organizations leading a marketing team

  • The ability to travel as required by business needs.

Salary: Up to $150,000.00 CAD per year
