What you'll be doing
The Marketing team plays an important role in how we connect with clients, build our brand, and bring CIBC’s purpose to life. As the Head of Marketing Creative & Content, you’ll build and lead a net-new creative and content discipline within our evolving agile operating model. You’ll establish the structure, talent strategy, operating model, and ways of working for a team of more than 100 creative professionals, while ensuring high-quality, consistent output across CIBC-owned channels. You’ll lead the integration of creative and content capabilities into agile teams, helping the organization deliver at speed without compromising brand integrity. You’ll also set the creative vision, strengthen content strategy, and build strong partnerships across marketing, digital, and business lines to drive business impact. This is a unique opportunity to shape a new function, lead through transformation, and leave a meaningful mark on one of Canada’s leading financial institutions.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you'll succeed
Build the function - Design and establish the organizational structure, roles, and operating model for a new creative and content team. Develop the resourcing strategy across internal talent, agency partners, and freelance support, and build the foundational processes, tools, and quality standards needed for long-term success.
Lead talent and culture - Attract, hire, and develop top creative talent across multiple disciplines and levels. Foster a high-performing, inclusive team culture where creativity, collaboration, and accountability work together.
Embed agile ways of working - Lead the integration of creative and content operations into CIBC’s agile operating model. Adapt creative processes to iterative delivery methods, embed capabilities into agile squads, and guide the team through the cultural and operational shift to new ways of working.
Drive creative and content excellence - Set the creative vision and content strategy for CIBC-owned channels, ensuring work is audience-focused, on-brand, and aligned to business goals. Establish governance, editorial standards, and effective workflows that support consistent, high-quality delivery.
Partner across the enterprise - Build strong relationships with leaders across growth marketing, digital, and business lines to align priorities and deliver integrated solutions. Manage external agency and vendor relationships to extend team capabilities where needed.
Use data to improve performance - Measure creative and content effectiveness using data and insights. Identify opportunities to optimize performance, improve client experiences, and support acquisition, retention, and brand equity objectives.
