Who You Will Work With:
Reporting to the Group Head, Technology & Operations, this vacant Head, Fraud, T&O, position will lead the strategic vision, execution and operational excellence of Interac’s Fraud services. This role is pivotal in safeguarding the organization and its customers by ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient fraud detection and prevention capabilities across our platforms – including Real-Time-Rail (RTR), Interac e-Transfer, and emerging Fraud services.
What You Will Do:
Define and execute the strategic roadmap for Fraud T&O, aligning with Interac’s enterprise fraud strategy and long-term technology goals.
Drive innovation in fraud detection, software engineering, infrastructure modernization, and operational resilience.
Align fraud technology operational readiness and operating model to RTR.
Partner with Product Owners, Delivery Leaders, and Technology Leads to align technical capabilities with fraud product needs.
Lead resource planning and optimization across Fraud T&O.
Evaluate automation opportunities and deprioritize low-value pipeline work.
Lead upgrades to fraud modeling and scoring engines to address rising scam losses and maintain risk thresholds.
What You Bring:
15+ years of leadership experience in IT Delivery & Operations, with a proven track record of managing large-scale, complex technology projects.
Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate a T&O vision that inspires and motivates staff and aligns with the IT and business strategy.
Deep understanding of fraud detection tools, cybersecurity principles, and financial crimes risk management.
Proficiency in automation tools and frameworks to enhance software engineering and infrastructure efficiency and reliability.
Strong background in security measures and compliance to ensure solutions adhere to regulatory standards.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strong influencing skills to achieve alignment and drive strategic initiatives across the organization.
Focus on operational excellence, ensuring that services are reliable, efficient, and meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in ITSM processes and tools, ensuring smooth and effective management of IT services.
Commitment to continuous improvement, driving initiatives that keep the organization at the forefront of industry trends.
Experience in the payments or financial services industry is preferred.
Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
