What You'll Bring:

  • University degree or equivalent in Business and/or Marketing. An MBA is an asset.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of proven leadership success in either C-level sales of complex B2B solutions in the Fintech industry. Direct experience in Fintech segments such as payment processors and digital lending, with senior level business contacts within the Fintech ecosystem.
  • Resilient, hardworking, and results-driven, the ideal candidate is an inspirational leader with proven success in building, mentoring, and retaining high performance, diverse teams, with a track record of elevating this function and the broader organization.
  • Analytical mindset and a results and insights-driven approach, with demonstrated experience developing sales process and infrastructure conducive to delivering disciplined sales execution and overall performance.

Impact You'll Make:
The Head, Fintech Sales is a key member of the leadership team, reporting to the Vice President, Diversified Markets. This position is responsible for creating and executing growth strategies for all Fintech sales and related activities to maximize and support the Company's revenues as well as achieving the annual total financial target for Canada. This includes deepening existing client relationships and solutions, building new partnerships with Fintech clients and defining and executing on new business verticals and segments such as embedded finance, payment process, digital lending and wealth tech. The Head, Fintech Sales will identify new and emerging solutions required by clients to inform the broader TU Canada and Global product roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and Implement the revenue growth strategy focused on driving key strategic wins of new business and untapped market potential, leading the team to deepen and grow existing relationships with solutions by solving business problems. Supported by the development of sales pipeline, effective collaboration with internal solutions colleagues, Fintech market planner, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Defend revenue with the ongoing renewal of existing business.
  • Direct ownership and oversight of two to three key strategic accounts in addition to managing a team of Fintech sellers. Drive business planning initiatives in partnership with the Fintech market planner and sales leadership.
  • Ensure staff compliance with relevant sales processes such as Salesforce.com.
  • Develop the sales function expertise through provision of coaching and mentoring to sales staff.
  • Participate in management and industry committees including the International Fintech leadership team to collaborate with colleagues in other TU Regions in support of revenue growth.
  • Monitor effectiveness of sales and after sales efforts in context of business plans and strategies, and recommend improvements where indicated.

The incumbent also will ensure strong cross functional alignment and communication between sales and the broader organization including operations, product and legal. Will be the "face and voice of Fintech" for TransUnion Canada by driving key industry mandates (panel guest, speaking engagements, accessing new sources of revenue growth through key contacts).
Critical to the success of this role will be the candidate's strategic and leadership capabilities, combined with a proven track record of successfully leading and championing a sales organization that delivers sustainable business results. The ideal candidate will be agile, detail oriented and a committed leader who builds rapport easily, enabling them to effectively gain credibility from internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent will serve as an active and impactful member of the leadership team to support the Canadian market with them in year and longer-term objectives. Authentic, decisive, hard driving, and collaborative, the successful candidate brings track record of connecting, leading and motivating teams, while building and nurturing strong, senior level client relationships in the Fintech ecosystem.
This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.
