About the Role

Dandy is hiring an engineering program manager to join our rapidly expanding hardware team to deliver best in class hardware products to the dental industry. A successful candidate will help set strategy, execute on schedule and be responsible for managing/presenting status and issues along the way. This position demands technical strengths in many areas, including optical, mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing.

What You'll Do

  • In this role, You will Lead end-to-end product development efforts; steer new programs from requirements definition through to validation, certification, ramp-up, and sustaining

  • Drive the development, planning & execution of a holistic cross functional hardware product development and/or launch strategy. Provides technical leadership and identifies technical risks.

  • You’ll be responsible for defining and tracking critical program milestones and metrics, managing business and technology risks, and establishing clear priorities for team members.

  • Collaborate with internal and external technology development partners to form a cohesive development plan.

  • Drive vendors towards aggressive schedules and ambitious objectives. Proactively identify initiatives that are likely to fail and work with teams to develop alternative plans and solutions

  • Create clarity, alignment, and communication around key decisions that will affect the outcome of the program

  • Lead a wide variety of weekly meetings including vendor calls, internal team updates, and presentations with key leadership team members

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience developing and shipping complex hardware products in consumer electronics, Medical devices or Optical products

  • Experience in all phases of new hardware design and development from architecture definition through shipping at volume, and for extremely complex or new product areas

  • Experience establishing operations at contract manufacturers from scratch in partnership with Factory Operations and Business Operations teams

  • Experience managing all facets of NPI engineering and transition to production readiness with deep understanding of the inter-dependencies between all disciplines.

  • Experience working with Product Managers, Packaging and Marketing teams with ability to understand their requirements alongside product technical requirements.

  • Ability to run hardware engineering program with minimum supervision

  • Ability to present to Executive teams in a fast paced environment

  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 30%

  • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or allied technical subject

Compensation Range: $172.4K - $190.6K
