GWAM Operational Resilience Project Manager
In today’s rapidly evolving financial services landscape, operational resilience is paramount. It encompasses the ability of an organization to anticipate, prepare for, respond to, and adapt to incremental change and sudden disruptions. As financial institutions face increasing threats from cyber incidents, natural disasters, and regulatory changes, maintaining operational resilience is crucial to safeguarding critical operations and ensuring business continuity.
As a Project Manager, you will oversee and coordinate business and technical projects of varying scope and complexity, guiding them through all phases, from initiation and development to implementation. You will also provide crucial support to functional teams by handling ad hoc requests, preparing reports, and conducting analytical tasks.
Position Responsibilities:

Project management of initiatives related to regulatory implementations.

Execution and support of the Company, Divisional and Operations strategy.

Work with clients to define and manage the scope, strategy, requirements and implementation of projects.

Insure that assigned projects are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting client business objectives.

Identify, analyze, mitigate, document, control, communicate and escalate project risks.

Provide effective and regular communication within the project team, stakeholders, sponsors and management.

Create and maintain project plan complete with workstreams, action items, owners and due dates.

Create and maintain project working session, project team and steering committee meetings; including ensuring agenda is prepared and shared in advance for each, minutes provided subsequently and action items are capture centrally.

Manage client and team expectations and relationships.

Identify resource needs for the project and establish roles, expectations, and goals with team members.

Participate in negotiation of contract terms and conditions and insures compliance with contract terms for project consultants and vendors.

Conduct After-Action-Reviews.

Stay current to market and industry trends through training, self-study, trade contact, and trade and industry conferences.

Share best practices and initiatives with other functional areas in Operations

Partner with IT to ensure common focus and execution of technology initiatives

Ensure delivery of services from key vendors
Required Qualifications:
-
Post-secondary education or high school diploma and equivalent business experience
-
2+ years project team experience
-
5 – 7 years’ experience in managing projects for financial services, operations or risk organizations

Proficient understanding of products, , operations and systems including business desktop applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Visio, MS Project, SharePoint, Outlook)

Ability to think strategically, assess alternatives for short and long-term impacts and act decisively

Experience with capturing requirements, process mapping, testing and other common process assessment tools/methodologies.

Knowledge of project planning and tracking tools

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong presentation and written communication skills
The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.

Salary range is expected to be between
$90,225.00 USD - $162,405.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
