What you'll be doing

As a member of the Investor’s Edge team, the Product Manager will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance and strategic development of assigned product initiatives, including creating product objectives, managing and communicating the product vision and roadmap, prioritizing requirements to achieve goals and objectives, incorporating feedback, and overseeing the end-to-end delivery of the product. In addition, you’ll conduct ongoing reviews of the platform and product being offered by direct competitor producing intel for senior members of Product team.

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $92,490 to $127,200.
The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.
In addition to base pay, compensation for this role includes participation in an annual discretionary incentive or bonus program.

How you’ll succeed

  • Strategy and Competitive Analysis - In conjunction with the Product, Marketing and Strategy teams, understand the strategic evolution for the online brokerage and onboarding platform by understanding what technologies and partners will be needed to make our offerings even better. You’ll conduct periodic reviews of competitors and the evolution of their online platforms as well as which vendors they have chosen to partner with for account opening, research, trading and account information. Assist in the development of product strategies to target defined client and prospect segment(s) and the build out of the product roadmap in support of same. Determine what product enhancements may be suitable for online platform.

  • Relationship Management - Act as product owner and be the primary point of contact for Investor’s Edge with regard to the product. Work with and develop relationships with Marketing and Strategy teams, CIBC Retail Banking partners and other teams.

  • Business Effectiveness - Through effective analysis of existing processes and procedures, determine and recommend implementation of opportunities for cost savings for the business through reduction in manual processes and the implementation of automated solutions. Proactively determine client pain points and recommend improvements to the client experience.

Who You Are

  • You are an experienced financial professional. You have a strong understanding of equity and options trading, as well as the associated regulatory landscape. In this role, you will lead the development and enhancement of trading products and platforms, working closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, prioritize features, and deliver value to end users. The ideal candidate combines market expertise with strategic vision, ensuring products meet client needs while remaining compliant with industry rules. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills are essential for success in this position. You most likely have completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC). Minimum 5 years experience working in the retail brokerage industry working with financial products.
