What you’ll be doing

Simplii Financial is transforming how millions of Canadians manage their money. The Product team is central to the Simplii organization. We turn complexity into clarity. Working across design, operations, engineering, analytics, compliance, and risk to build features that solve real human problems. As an integral member of Simplii Financials’ Product Management team, the Group Product Manager – Money Movement, is the key subject matter expert and owner of money movement domain, including e-Transfer, EFT, Bill Pay and RTR and Open Banking-enabled capabilities . You will directly report to the Director of Payments and will be responsible for leading the strategy, roadmap, and performance money movement products and platform. You will navigate the intersection of product strategy, technical operations, and risk management to drive the seamless execution of feature enhancements and updates.
At Simplii Financial we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role you’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

  • Vision & Roadmap – Define and execute the product strategy for money movement across existing rails (Interac e-Transfer, EFT, Bill Pay) and future capabilities (RTR, Open Banking) aligning to enterprise payments strategy and regulatory evolution. 

  • Discovery & Customer Insight – Translate customer data, friction points, and ecosystem shifts  into differentiated product opportunities that increase engagement and primary account usage.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership- Partner with Tech, risk, compliance, ops and network to deliver secure, resilient and scalable payments capabilities. Lead "Scope & Define" sessions with partners to translate requirements into actionable technical specs. 

  • KPI Ownership- Accountable for KPIs including transaction growth, success rate, cost to serve, and customer satisfaction.

  • Stakeholder Communication- Translate complex product strategy, trade-offs, and delivery risks into clear, timely narratives that enable confident executive decisions.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate: 5-7 years within fintech or financial services, with direct ownership of money movement capabilities (eTransfer, EFT/ACH,Bill Pay, wires, or real time payments). Strong understanding of RTR, ISO 20022, open banking frameworks, and API-driven architectures – with the ability to translate technical constraints into customer centric solutions.

  • Strategic Communication: Ability to explain highly technical network requirements to non-technical stakeholders (and vice-versa). Risk mindset and strong ability to identify edge cases in transaction processing and fraud mitigation strategies.  

  • Collaborative excellence: Build effective partnerships and drive teamwork across functions, levels, and organizations to achieve shared objectives and maximize collective impact.
