What You’ll Be Doing
As a Group Product Manager within the Commercial Payment Solutions team, you will be supporting the Director in achieving business objectives, and managing the relationship with various partners throughout the bank for all facets of the product management and projects related to Commercial Lending products and specialty Government support programs for exports, farming and entrepreneurs.
You will lead in the development, management, presentation and implementation, including tactics that will build the business and optimize profitability, efficiency, growth and improve the client experience related to your assigned product portfolio. You will also lead in development of specialty lending programs for specific segment and industries and will champion these programs with Relationship Managers and our clients.

How You’ll Succeed
- Product Management: Take ownership of the assigned product portfolio, focusing on maximizing market share and profitability of products through collection of revenue, regular competitive reviews and cost management. Develop product roadmaps and recommendations for consideration by management and subsequent incorporation into Commercial Payment Solutions overall business plan. Defining criteria to monitor on-going compliance to established service level agreements, and ensuring service levels meet or exceed the client’s expectations and the standards of key major competitors with reasonable consistency. Communicate business strategy and initiative updates to large groups of stakeholders via presentation formats to deliver clear, concise and effective communication.
- Collaboration: Act as a focal point for product and market information for the assigned product portfolio, providing specialized support for key client solutions during the sales cycle. Provide subject matter expertise to various internal business partners in order to support key stakeholders, business cases, requirement documents, product collateral and communications. Contribute to strategy, annual business plans, development of recommendations and business cases for programs supporting Commercial Banking clients.
- Project Management & Continuous Improvement: Accountable for delivery of key initiatives related to your assigned product portfolio. Lead in the development of options and proposals for projects related to product enhancements and developments and make recommendations regarding impact, effectiveness and feasibility. Develop recommendations inclusive of research market activities to ensure timely and comprehensive knowledge of technology, target market segments, and key clients is reflected.
Who You Are
- You can demonstrate experience in Commercial Banking Lending, with preferred experience in managing products. You have strong knowledge of strategic planning with demonstrated project delivery skills and understanding of our network and operations.
- You think and act as a Product owner. You take full responsibility for how clients interact with financial services products. You are constantly thinking about how to improve the client experience and possess the drive and demonstrated ability to take the necessary measures to achieve these goals.
- You're digitally savvy. You seek out innovative solutions and embrace evolving technologies. You have strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- You give meaning to data. You have strong analytical skills, and are able to understand and draw conclusions from data. You are experienced in building financial models and conducting/understanding credit risk analysis
