What you'll be doing

As a member of Product Management within the Auto Finance team under Borrowing Solutions, you'll be responsible for supporting and executing the development of Auto Finance fraud strategies to protect client and business interests while remaining competitive in the marketplace. As a Group Product Manager, you'll manage and monitor key fraud and associated operational risk metrics to exceed industry standards. Lead all Fraud Strategy initiatives including establishing objectives, setting priorities for fraud program management, frontline empowerment, and continue to evolve the existing processes and systems — driving partner organizations such as Fraud, Client Account Management, and Recovery Operations to develop more nimble, tailored support models that reflect the distinct needs of the Auto Finance business.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

  • Product management - Strong knowledge and experience in product management, strategic planning, and project management sufficient to identify, develop, and implement approved fraud mitigation initiatives within the Auto Finance portfolio.

  • Analytical - Understand and interpret complex fraud data and operational risk information, identify patterns and trends in new or strategic areas, and develop recommendations, often with minimal direction in order to respond to urgent business priorities. Ability to monitor market trends in fraud mitigation strategies across the Auto Finance sector.

  • Leadership - Influence and drive change at a senior level across partner functions such as Fraud. Well-developed management and leadership skills sufficient to achieve results within a matrix organization.

  • Relationship management - Meet business objectives by managing relationships and working effectively with internal and external partners including Fraud, Client Account Management, Recovery Operations and other lines of business, to build more dynamic and responsive support models tailored to Auto Finance.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience in business planning, fraud strategy development, and operational risk mitigation best-practices (5+ years). You also have in-depth knowledge of Auto Finance products and the unique operational and risk characteristics that differentiate them from other borrowing products. You have strategic planning skills sufficient to establish and co-ordinate complex assignments and projects which can be ambiguous in nature.

  • Your influence makes a difference. You know that relationships and networks are essential to success. You inspire outcomes by sharing your expertise — particularly in engaging partner organizations to evolve and align their support to the needs of a growing, distinct line of business.

  • You're motivated by collective success. You know that teamwork can transform a good idea into a great one. You know that an inclusive team that enjoys working together can bring a vision to life.

  • You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex fraud and operational risk problems and making sense of information. You communicate detailed information in a meaningful way.

  • You look beyond the moment. You know what you do will make a difference today and tomorrow. You look for new opportunities to define what's possible — including shaping how related stakeholders grow alongside the Auto Finance business.

  • Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.
