Job Description:

iProspect, a dentsu company, is a global digital-first end-to-end media agency. Its unmatched mix of media strategy and storytelling with digital expertise and audience knowledge defines the new territory of performance-driven brand building. By delivering human-centric solutions, iProspect accelerates growth for the world’s most iconic brands. The iProspect team works across a network of more than 8,000 media and performance specialists spread across 93 global markets.

As the Group Account Director, you are a senior leader responsible for setting the strategic direction of a large, complex account and guiding a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver sustainable business growth. You bring a strong point of view grounded in insight, data, and a deep understanding of the media landscape.

You are accountable for elevating the account beyond tactical execution, helping clients reconnect brand investment, demand creation, and performance marketing into a cohesive growth strategy. You are highly analytical and comfortable operating in the detail, but equally capable of stepping back to lead strategic thinking, long‑term planning, and senior client conversations.

You play a critical role on the account leadership team, providing strategic direction, overseeing both planning and buying workstreams, and shaping talent, ways of working, and future capability for the business.

Accountabilities

  • Lead the overall account strategy, ensuring media investment supports both immediate performance outcomes and long‑term brand and business growth.

  • Develop and champion a clear strategic point of view that balances brand building with performance marketing, and reduces reliance on lower‑funnel activity.

  • Oversee media planning and buying disciplines, ensuring tight alignment between strategy, activation, and optimization across channels.

  • Guide lead‑generation strategy, including channel mix, audience approach, and the role of upper‑ and mid‑funnel activity in driving efficient demand.

  • Champion analytical rigour, using first‑party data and advanced measurement approaches to inform optimization, investment decisions, and performance narratives.

  • Move the account forward strategically, ensuring recommendations are insight‑led, outcome‑focused, and commercially grounded.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop cross‑functional teams, fostering collaboration across planning, buying, performance, and analytics.

  • Provide senior client leadership, managing complex conversations, influencing decision‑making, and ensuring trust, clarity, and confidence in the partnership.

  • Establish strong operational and communication rhythms, ensuring accurate, honest, and timely performance management, reporting, and business reviews.

  • Anticipate client needs and risks, proactively identifying opportunities to scale ideas, improve effectiveness, and drive incremental growth.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a similar role managing large accounts, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Extensive experience in digital media, with deep expertise in search and social and strong working knowledge of broader channels.

  • Proven success leading large, performance‑driven accounts while integrating brand strategy to support longer‑term growth.

  • Strong background in lead generation, including planning, optimization, and measurement in complex, always‑on environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to work hands‑on with data and platforms, while also leading senior‑level strategy and long‑range planning.

  • Experience overseeing both media planning and media buying teams, with the credibility to lead senior specialists.

  • Highly analytical mindset, with experience leveraging first‑party data and modern measurement frameworks to inform decision‑making.

  • Confident communicator and leader, able to challenge constructively and elevate thinking internally and externally.

  • Post‑secondary education in marketing, communications, business, or a related field is an asset.
