Support daily logistics operations: monitor shipments, schedule pickups and deliveries, update client portals and tracking systems, provide real-time updates to teams, communicate with carriers, escalate issues, and perform administrative tasks to ensure smooth shipment flow.
Mandate:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Associate supports the day-to-day operations of a logistics company. This role involves tracking shipments, updating systems, and managing administrative tasks to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor shipments using tracking systems to ensure timely movement of goods from departure to arrival.
- Schedule pickup and delivery appointments.
- Provide real-time shipment updates to internal teams.
- Accurately enter details into client portal management software.
- Deliver excellent service to carriers via phone and email.
- Escalate unresolved issues promptly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a data entry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Bilingual (English and French)
- Fluency in English is mandatory as this role deals with Canadian and US employees (80%).
