What's exciting about the role

The Director of Talent Acquisition is a member of the HR leadership team, leading a team of Global recruiters, and responsible for the important work of ensuring Verifone attracts and hires the best candidates both externally and internally to Verifone. This role maintains accountability for a diverse range of activities, including talent attraction, strategic talent sourcing, candidate experience, internal mobility, contingent workforce management, and ownership of recruitment tools and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the recruitment team, providing coaching and guidance and regular performance feedback designed to increase success for the recruiters and the business.
  • Lead the development and execution of global strategies to attract potential candidates and build strong talent pipelines, engaging with both passive job seekers as well as interested applicants.
  • Partner and collaborate closely with global HR business partners to ensure our recruiting strategies identify the best candidates for every role filled, aligned to the business strategies and performance expectations.
  • Manage talent acquisition platforms, ensuring effective, compliant, and standardized processes with continuous improvement and data integrity.
  • Update the current and design new recruiting processes to increase efficiency, speed to hire and candidate quality.
  • Develop and manage all talent acquisition reporting and analysis, routinely analyzing talent acquisition metrics and recruiter capacity against benchmarks and targets.
  • Enable and deliver dashboards for real-time insights by business, team, geography, etc. for hiring managers and TA partners.
  • Examine current hiring procedures to make necessary modifications or recommendations that boost the effectiveness of the company's recruitment process, soliciting manager feedback and implementing solutions.
  • Oversee external staffing vendors or search firm relationships and assess regional needs to expand or adjust recruiting tools and resources and cost management.
  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) and regularly assess all talent acquisition vendors to ensure cost-effective and high-quality services.
  • Review recruitment software and integration with company systems, recommending improvements or enhancements as needed.
  • Manage internal and external audits and respond to reporting requests.
  • Monitor Talent Acquisition industry trends and best practices for opportunities to utilize and lead change.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance adherence and continuous monitoring.
  • Stay updated on global labor legislation partnering with the internal legal teams to ensure Verifone remains compliant with all global requirements. Educate or inform recruiters and managers about changes in regulations as applicable.
  • Attend seminars, conferences, job fairs and other industry events to network with other professionals and develop relationships as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5-10 years of experience in managing recruiting/talent operations, preferably within the financial services or fintech industry.
  • Global recruiting experience across various regions. (Europe is a plus).
  • Financial Services/FinTech experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and motivate a small team to high levels of performance.
  • High proficiency level in project management and multi-tasking environments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Prior experience in process improvement initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of the recruiting process and enabling tools and resources.
  • Proven ability to identify top talent considering both the culture and business expectations unique to a specific team or organization
