The Role:
As a member of the People & Culture team, you will contribute to a positive experience for our employees, managers, and colleagues. In this role, you will sit Global Mobility within the People & Culture team, Global Mobility Specialist will report into the Director of Global Mobility and Immigration to ensure successful delivery of Morningstar's end-to-end mobility process and will work closely with a range of stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure Morningstar officers a high-quality global mobility program. This role will support temporary status populations, international and cross-border moves, U.S. domestic relocations, as well as overseeing and coordinating aspects of our mobile and commuting employee population.
Responsibilities

  • Maintain ownership and organization of all Mobility cases, including follow-ups on documentation/approvals to ensure cases remain accurate and up-to-date
  • Coordinate with other P&C domains and stakeholders such as Total Rewards, Global Operations, Talent Acquisition, Legal & Immigration, Payroll, and Facilities to ensure full end-to-end relocation
  • Track and maintain foreign national immigration status globally and work with stakeholders to ensure documentation meets compliance requirements
  • Create standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring all documentation is available and up to date
  • Assist projects and initiatives within all domains of Global Mobility and Immigration globally
  • Track and maintain relocation and tax services expenses for budgeting and payroll reporting
  • Assist in the annual forecasting of the Global Mobility and Immigration budgeting process
  • Own the coordination of tax filing services and relocation services for all Mobility cases
  • Provide effective customer support to stakeholders through reliable, quick, and accurate problem resolution
  • Proactively identify process improvements and opportunities to streamline and automate


Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in program coordination, operations, human resources or immigration support
  • Strong analytical ability to investigate, diagnose, and resolve customer issues.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Effectively organize, prioritize, & execute multiple tasks and follow a multi-step process through to completion.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and be able to work independently.
  • Proven customer service excellence and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work without appreciative supervision.
  • Demonstrated excellent attention to detail and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of expat workflow and processes from pre-deployment to repatriation an asset.
