Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a General Labourer with experience for our Burlington location. Under the supervision of the Yard Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the general maintenance of the premises. 

  • Receive, sort and organize different types of ferrous metals
  • Properly weigh and track the material
  • Do general maintenance of the premises
  • Ensure the equipment in good condition
  • Data entry into the RECY system
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients on site
  • Help with torch cutting if necessary
  • Operate the crane as required
  • Work with a safety oriented mindset

Qualifications

  • Experience in operating a crane
  • Experience in metal recycling
  • Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Good physical fitness
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Excellent attendance and safety record.

Additional Information

Additional Information:

  • Hourly pay for this position is to start at CAD20/hr, plus overtime after 44 hours.
  • Permanent and full-time position;
  • 44 hours per week, including some rotating weekend work
  • Opportunity for overtime;
