SUMMARY
We are seeking a reliable and safety‑focused employee to join our Compounding Department. This role is key in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient production environment while supporting Compound Operators. The position requires the ability to work 12‑hour continental shifts, including nights.
Rate of pay: $21.11/hr
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform daily housekeeping of Mixer Area, Mixer Pit, Compound Mezzanine, Storage Rack Area, Behind Compound Office, Outside Silo & Dust Collector Room.
- Follow GMP, SOPs, sanitation requirements, and complete housekeeping documentation.
- Assist Compound Operators with staging raw materials, waste removal, and storing deliveries.
- Operate forklift, scissor lift, sweeper, and fall‑protection equipment as required.
- Respond to indoor/outdoor spills using sweeper equipment.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have completed Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Forklift certification acquired through Company sponsored training program
- Must be conversant with all aspects of propane powered counter-balanced forklifts.
- Must have strong communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work straight night shift and rotating shift on a 12-hour continental shift.
- Operate computers and perform basic mathematical functions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in the Compounding Department, where dust and powder are common due to production activities. This role involves regular cleaning and housekeeping in areas with frequent dust exposure. PPE such as safety glasses, masks, gloves, and safety shoes must be worn. Noise levels are moderate, and the job requires walking, bending, and using stairs as part of daily tasks.
