  • Math & Balancing: Create or collaborate on the mathematical models (volatility, Return To Player, hit frequency) to ensure engaging player experiences and game economy balance.
  • Documentation: specific Game Design Documents (GDDs) and wireframes that clearly communicate mechanics to artists and engineers.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with designers, artists, and engineers to implement new features and enhance existing ones.
  • Feature Tuning: Iterate on game pacing, audio-visual cues, and "juiciness" to maximize player retention and excitement.

    • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Game Design, with a specific focus on Slot or Social Casino games.
    • Contract-Readiness: Ability to commit to a 4-month timeline and deliver high-quality work autonomously.
    • Portfolio: A portfolio or track record demonstrating previously shipped slot games or casino mechanics.

Technical Skills:

    • Strong understanding of slot machine mechanics (lines, ways, bonus features, free spins).
    • Proficiency in Excel/spreadsheets for modeling game math and probability.
    • Experience writing clear, concise technical specifications and GDDs.
    • Knowledge of mobile or web pipelines.

Soft Skills:

    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, so you'll notice we'd like you to mention "Kattegat" in your application.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Experience with Unity is a strong plus (to better communicate with our engineering team).
    • Understanding of player psychology and monetization strategies in the social casino market.
