The Full Stack Developer (Backend Bias) will design, develop, and maintain web applications using a strongly-typed Object Oriented Language such as C# or Java, and will be responsible for providing and receiving cross training (front end / back end), conducting code reviews, utilizing best practices, and ensuring the quality and delivery of code for our projects in a team-based environment.
A Day in the Life

Design, develop & maintain web applications using Java/C#, Spring Boot, React, and other modern technologies

Implement front-end features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React

Creation and management of microservices
-
Write unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests via TDD
-
Optimize the stack for performance, security, and scalability within new projects and existing code
-
Contribute to component library to ensure robust component-based framework
-
Design, develop & maintain web applications with OOP
-
Decision making, logic and reasoning- Understanding of front-end features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React
-
Creation of back-end services using RESTful APIs, microservices, etc

A TDD mindset to write unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests

Work with our DevOps team to improve our CI/CD pipeline

Able to interpret business requirements and translate into technical outcomes

Optimize the stack for performance, security, and scalability within new projects and existing code

Follow best practices and coding standards

Document code and functionality

Contribute to component library to ensure robust component-based framework

Contribute to creation and sustaining measurable and actionable development KPIs

Lead a team of developers, conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and ensure the quality and delivery of the projects

Collaborate with team leads, project managers, and stakeholders in an agile environment
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or commensurate work experience
-
5+ years of experience as a full stack developer or similar role
-
Proven experience with strongly-typed OOP back end programming, its associated concepts and patterns
-
Must have worked with React to integrate back end
-
Development tools such as Maven, NuGet, etc.
-
Relational and non-relational databases such as PostGres, MongoDB, etc.

Experience with Git as a version control tool and a branching methodology GitFlow
-
Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, etc.

Experience with developing net new microservices
-
Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins
-
Containerization knowledge such as Docker, Kubernetes preferred

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to work independently and in a team
-
Experience with Angular, Node, Typescript preferred
-
Ability to write/use tooling to facilitate/streamline their work preferred
The hiring base salary range for this position is $70,800 - $97,350 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
