Frontend Software Engineer, Commerce (Pacific Time Zone Only)

The Role
The Commerce team is committed to bringing financial freedom to all our customers. Our team is at the core of Cash App's mission-redefining the world's relationship with money. We're making Cash App and Afterpay the most loved way to pay for buyers and sellers by designing commerce services that are more relatable, instantly available, and universally accessible.
As a senior frontend engineer, you will pave the way for the Commerce team's web development through design, execution, and maintenance of our payment experiences. You will work with internal teams and external partners to ensure the solutions you develop integrate seamlessly to deliver best-in-class customer experiences.
You Will

• Design, build and support the web development of our payment experiences
• Build highly accessible and beautiful web experiences that delight our users
• Deliver features to millions of customers, shipping at a fast and exciting cadence
• Work cross-functionally and communicate with our product, design, and other engineering teams to design new services and experiences
• Focus on all aspects of product quality, including in-depth metrics and monitoring
• Lift the skills and expertise of others on the team

You Have

• Proven software development experience with expertise in web development
• Experience leading large scale features, which includes planning, managing and executing on the delivery projects in a timely manner while maintaining a high quality bar
• The ability to design and build creative solutions to complex problems
• A strong track record in helping other engineers grow
• A vested interest in advancing Cash App's vision of building for economic empowerment

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
