Frontend Engineer - Native Apps

We are looking for talented frontend engineers to help us continue to grow and build compelling new experiences using a best-of-breed tech stack (React/Hooks, Typescript, Java, Python). Bring your passion for delighting customers and deep experience building cutting edge web apps and help us build the future of the Data Cloud. 

The team builds the Snowflake Native App Framework which allows developers to create, distribute and monetize Data Apps on the Snowflake Marketplace. We deliver the necessary tools to make Native Apps authoring, configuration, security management, monitoring through telemetry, distribution and monetization simple.

AS A FRONT END ENGINEER, YOU WILL:

• Build an industry-leading SaaS platform the customers love

• Create intuitive and elegant user interfaces to make the platform simple to use 

• Lead projects that span our front-end and back-end stack

• Promote strong collaboration within a cross-functional team of Design, Product and Engineering

• Deliver features requiring close coordination with sister teams such as Data Sharing, Cloud Infrastructure, and Cross-region Replication

• Build for scale and high performance to serve hundreds of our customers and millions of data queries every day

• Contribute to the product vision

• Join a world-class team of both industry veterans and rising stars

OUR IDEAL FRONT END ENGINEER WILL HAVE:

• 2+ years of experience in building web applications

• Strong development skills in Typescript/Javascript and React

• Proficiency in backend languages such as Python, Go or Java

• Deep understanding of modern web applications design architecture

• Good API design skills, including understanding of patterns, performance and scale

• Passion for great user experience

BONUS IF YOU ALSO HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH:

• Distributed system development

• Interactive dashboards, visualization platforms or rich, interactive applications
