The Opportunity
We are seeking a Front Office, Product Owner with strong experience in product management and the software development lifecycle (SDLC and AI-DLC) to join our team. This role sits within our Front Office team, which focuses on clients’ pre-trade needs, including Dodd-Frank compliance requirements, building capabilities across pre-trade workflows, trade entry, and trade execution that identify exposure and surface hedging opportunities; while managing the revenue metrics of the product area. This role requires a candidate to own their product from conception through delivery, working autonomously to prioritize the team’s backlog and clearly articulate the priorities and user impact of our initiatives to key stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of capital markets and OTC derivatives, including interest rate FX and Commodity, along with the organization, drive, and collaboration skills needed to keep cross-functional teams aligned. The Product Owner will elaborate epics and user stories, document detailed requirements and acceptance criteria, and actively manage the product backlog in Jira. This role requires excellent communication, the ability to multi-task across concurrent initiatives, and confidence validating that developed functionality meets expectations before presenting it to the broader organization.

What You’ll Do
- Own a product or functionality from conception through delivery, guiding initiatives through the full software development lifecycle (SDLC & AI-DLC) from discovery to release.
- Clearly articulate and develop initiatives, epics, and user stories, documenting detailed requirements and acceptance criteria that define client impact.
- Actively manage and prioritize the product backlog in Jira, holding regular grooming sessions with development to maintain at least 3 sprints of ready backlog.
- Collaborate with other teams to align dependent workstreams and ensure seamless, on-time execution of projects.
- Clearly articulate the priorities and user impact of team initiatives, analyzing how they affect client satisfaction and business outcomes, and collaborating with Development to iterate on strategies as needed.
- Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders regarding project status, potential risks, and resource requirements.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of requirements, acceptance criteria, project plans, and progress reports to facilitate effective tracking and accountability.
- Work independently to drive initiatives forward, validate that developed functionality meets expectations, and present new functionality to the broader organization.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional experience in product management, including experience owning a product or service from conception through delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC & AI-DLC) and Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Strong understanding of capital markets and OTC derivatives, including Interest Rate, FX and Commodity derivatives.
- Experience with Jira, actively managing and prioritizing a product backlog.
- Highly organized, driven, and capable of working autonomously.
- Highly skilled collaborator and excellent communicator, able to clearly articulate priorities and the user impact of initiatives to stakeholders.
- Able to multi-task effectively across concurrent projects, and skilled at documenting detailed requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Proficient at rapid prototyping
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering client value.
