Job Description
Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for an experienced Manager, FP&A, Commissions responsible for the calculation and distribution of commissions to our Go-To-Market teams. This leader will manage a small team and collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of calculating commissions accurately and timely as well as leading large projects.
What You'll Do

  • Commission Plan Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of all commission plans across the sales organization, effectively communicating calculations and rationale to stakeholders
  • Payout Management: Accurately calculate and validate monthly variable earnings in line with current compensation plans and ensure timely payouts
  • System Management: Maintain and update commission workflow and corresponding data producing commission statements
  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with Finance, HR, Operations, and Sales leadership to develop and refine commission plans by providing strategic financial insights and recommendations
  • Participant Engagement: Communicate effectively with plan participants and address any questions that may arise


What You'll Need to Succeed
We're looking for someone who:

  • Can work hybrid from our Applied Systems office in Chicago
  • Travel is less than 10%


Your experience should include some or all of the following:

  • 7+ Year of experience in Sales Compensation, Sales Operations, or Finance
  • Technical Expertise: Expertise with Microsoft Excel, Netsuite, and Salesforce. Experience with Alteryx and Tableau a plus
  • Creative & Critical Thinker: Ability to think creatively, solve problems, and thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Collaborative Communicator: Strong communication and analytical skills, with the confidence to engage with stakeholder at all levels of the organization
  • Industry Knowledge: SAAS or Software Industry experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in finance, business, or related field
