The opportunity

As our Founding Engineer (Backend/Infra), you'll partner closely with the founders to build our collaborative canvas platform and core infrastructure. You'll create robust, scalable systems that seamlessly integrate AI capabilities and real-time event processing to deliver exceptional experiences for both end-users and developers.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement our platform architecture, including public APIs and documentation
  • Maintain and scale our Next.js serverless infrastructure
  • Build and govern secure data systems with robust privacy controls
  • Develop data connectors and enterprise integrations
  • Build robust testing, monitoring, and developer tooling
  • Collaborate with AI teams to integrate advanced capabilities

What you bring

  • 7+ years of experience building scalable data systems and production web applications
  • Expertise in data infrastructure, governance, security, and privacy
  • Experience with Next.js serverless architecture and deployment and Python backend development
  • Experience with data connectors (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift)
  • Track record implementing enterprise integrations (Salesforce, Stripe)
  • Experience with WebSocket implementations and real-time systems
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) and containerization
  • Understanding of API design, versioning, and developer experience

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary of $130,000 - $180,000 based on experience and equity preference
  • Founding team equity grant based on cash preference
