About Venn

Venn is the fastest-growing B2B fintech in Canada.

We're on a mission to transform business banking for Canadian entrepreneurs and are looking to hire A-players interested in disrupting traditional banking practices. As the ONLY digital banking platform in Canada offering a truly modern solution, we have seen accelerated growth—scaling to support more than 5,000 Canadian businesses in under two years. Business owners are tired of the big banks’ monopoly and are looking for modern tools that replace the legacy systems that have been their only option for over 100 years.

We've raised a $26.5m Series A from Tier 1 investors, and we're rapidly growing and looking for a BDR to play a critical role in driving our next phase of growth and changing the future of banking in Canada.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Generate leads and new business opportunities through high-impact outbound outreach

  • Qualify potential leads and ensure they are a great fit for Venn's products and services

  • Identify and research target companies to continuously expand our outbound prospect list

  • Experiment, iterate and improve outbound processes, tooling and messaging

  • Partner closely with Account Executives and the wider sales team to improve the outbound BDR strategy. You will have a direct impact on helping shape the broader sales motion

  • Play a foundational role in defining what great looks like for future BDRs at Venn

What we’re looking for:

  • 1+ years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or software sales role (ideally as an early sales hire or at a fast-growing startup)

  • Strong record of consistently exceeding personal and professional goals

  • You’re just as comfortable on the phone as in writing, and you can translate business problems into a compelling value proposition

  • A customer-obsessed mindset, with real curiosity about the businesses you speak to and the challenges they’re trying to solve

  • A love of learning. Your someone who is always looking for ways to improve your craft, stay current on trends, and bring new ideas to the table

  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving, changing environment. You stay adaptable, resilient, and energized by building something new

Bonus Points

  • Experience at an early-stage or fast-growing startup

  • Experience working at or selling into SMB’s

  • Experience in fintech, banking, or financial services

Perks & Benefits

  • Healthy equity ownership, among the most generous in the market, aligning your success with the company’s growth

  • Comprehensive coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • Opportunity to shape the future of business banking in Canada and beyond
