About Coperniq

Coperniq is an AI-native operating platform for contractors. We combine sales, project management, field service, payments, and AI agents into one system.

We're backed by Y Combinator and Initialized Capital and work with contractors across the U.S.

We're a small team building a big company.

The Role

We're hiring a Founding GTM to help us win the roofing market.

This isn't a traditional BDR or Account Executive role. We believe AI agents will eventually eliminate the need to split sales into prospecting and closing roles. One great salesperson, equipped with AI agents, should be able to do both.

We're building that sales organization now.

Initially, you'll focus on generating pipeline and working alongside the founders to refine our product-market fit in roofing. The founders will handle most of the closing while you learn the product, customers, and sales process.

As we develop a repeatable sales motion, you'll take over the full sales cycle and close your own deals.

You'll also help us build the AI agents and playbooks that make this possible.

What You'll Do
  • Find and engage roofing contractors through calls, email, LinkedIn, and AI-powered outbound.

  • Generate qualified pipeline and book meetings with decision-makers.

  • Join founders on discovery calls, demos, and deal negotiations.

  • Learn how roofing businesses operate and bring customer feedback into product development.

  • Experiment with messaging, prospecting strategies, and AI agents.

  • Gradually take ownership of deals from first contact through close.

How You'll Grow

Phase 1 — Generate Pipeline

Work alongside the founders to find customers, generate opportunities, and sharpen our sales motion.

Target: $350K in sales-accepted pipeline per month. Commission is based primarily on qualified pipeline generated.

Phase 2 — Close Deals

Once you've learned the product and demonstrated you can sell, you'll begin owning deals end-to-end.

Target: $1M in new ARR per year (~$85K/month). Commission shifts primarily to closed-won revenue.

The transition is based on performance and readiness, not a fixed timeline.

Who We're Looking For
  • You're comfortable cold calling and hearing "no."

  • You communicate well with business owners and executives.

  • You're competitive, persistent, and motivated by results.

  • You're curious about customers and how their businesses work.

  • You learn fast, take feedback, and don't need to be micromanaged.

  • You're excited about AI and want to build a better way to sell.

  • You want to own revenue, not just book meetings.

SaaS sales or construction industry experience is a plus, not a requirement.

Compensation & Benefits
  • $120K–$150K OTE

  • $60K–$75K base + $60K–$75K target commission

  • Uncapped commission after ramp

  • Equity

  • 15 days PTO + 5 paid sick days

  • 70% of employee medical insurance premiums covered

  • 401(k)

  • Company offsites

Commission is tied to pipeline generation initially and shifts to closed revenue as you begin owning deals.

Why Join

You'll work directly with the founders, help us find product-market fit in roofing, and build a new kind of sales organization powered by AI agents.

We're not looking for someone to follow a playbook. We're looking for someone who wants to help write it.

If you want to learn fast, sell, and take ownership of revenue, we'd love to talk.
