We're a team of entrepreneurs, engineers and domain experts using craft, agency and candor looking to build the future of accounting and grow the ownership economy We're building out the founding go-to-market team for our accountant channel and are seeking a Founding Account Manager to own the post-sale relationship with accounting firms and drive activation, expansion, retention and advocacy across our growing customer base.

You will

  • Own the post-sale journey for accounting firms from onboarding through activation, expansion and renewal
  • Become a product expert and help accountants use Kick effectively, guiding them through trial, activation and expansion phases
  • Design repeatable processes across the entire accountant lifecycle: education, adoption, growth and advocacy
  • Work with the CEO and Head of Growth to define and build a repeatable customer growth playbook
  • Track and optimize key metrics like activation rates, net revenue retention and expansion velocity
  • Act as the voice of the accountant and provide clear, structured feedback to the Product, Engineering and AI teams

We're looking for someone who

  • Proven 3-5+ years track record of managing customer relationships and driving post-sale outcomes in SaaS
  • Startup experience; you take ownership and do your best work in a fast-paced and adaptive environment
  • Experience working with and supporting a technical audience; bonus if you have previous experience working with accountants or finance
  • Extraordinary written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Bonus if

  • Background in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial services
  • Advanced technical qualifications or experience (e.g. CPA, EA, Tax LLM)
  • Empathy for entrepreneurs through experience as a founder or being self-employed

Location

  • In person, 4 days per week, at our dedicated downtown Toronto office.

What we offer

  • The OTE range for this role is CAD $180,000 - CAD $230,000
