Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a First Line Quality Manager to support the Executive Fleet Program Quality team in San Antonio, TX!
The First Line Quality Manager will be hands-on and focused on day-to-day quality assurance and process control. Manages frontline quality specialists, analyzes data, reviews trends and creates recovery plans to ensure timely resolution of production issues to meet schedule and safety targets. Collaborates closely with internal customer and suppliers, manufacturing, test, and engineering to implement corrective actions and sustainable process improvements.

Position Responsibilities:
- Manages employees performing quality inspection, engineering and technical activities on or in support of programs through all phases of the product lifecycle
- Develops quality strategies and plans in support of new business acquisition and execution of program/business plans
- Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
- Acquires and manages resources, provides quality technical management and leads performance improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports
- Oversees review of technical information to ensure quality and producibility
- Manages, develops and motivates employees
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes and implementing corrective actions
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership"
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- 1+ year of experience with team building, developing and motivating employees
- 1+ year of experience working with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Department of Defense (DOD) contracts
- Experience leading key process, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
