KUBRA is hiring a FinOps Lead, where you will spearhead our cloud cost management initiatives, ensuring financial efficiency and fostering collaboration across our teams. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to develop and implement our FinOps strategy, leading a team of professionals dedicated to optimizing our cloud expenditures. You'll work closely with various departments, including IT, finance, and business units, to align cloud costs with our business expansion goals.   • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis of cloud spend and usage.
  • Collaborate with IT, finance, and business unit leaders to drive cost efficiency.
  • Implement and manage cloud cost optimization initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of FinOps professionals.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends, innovations, and best practices in cloud financial management.
  • Develop financial models to forecast cloud expenses.
  • Establish and enforce financial governance policies.
  • Partner with stakeholders to align cloud expenditure with business goals.
  • Provide training on FinOps principles to internal teams.
  • Evaluate and implement FinOps tools and platforms for efficiency.

What skills do you need?

  • BS/BA/BComm degree in Finance, Business Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Cloud FinOps Certified Practitioner, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or equivalent certification.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in a FinOps leadership role.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and public cloud services architecture.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as PowerBI or Tableau.
  • Proficient in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Ability to script in languages like R, SQL, Python, Scala, Java, or C++.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, especially with Pivot Tables and complex formulas.
  • Proven track record in implementing FinOps practices in medium to large-scale organizations.
