Financial Systems Lead (NetSuite)

Beacon Software is looking for a Financial Systems Lead to lead the administration, optimization, and integration of our financial systems — with a primary focus on NetSuite ERP. This role will serve as the technical and operational backbone of our finance systems environment, ensuring that NetSuite and related platforms work seamlessly to support accurate financial reporting, system scalability, and efficient workflows across our portfolio.

You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of financial data, supporting integrations during acquisitions, and driving automation within our systems ecosystem. This role reports directly to the Director of Finance and will collaborate closely with Accounting, FP&A, and Portfolio Operations.

Location: Toronto, ON

Working Arrangements: Hybrid (In-office 3-4 days / week)

Scope of ResponsibilityNetSuite ERP Administration & Optimization
  • Serve as the primary administrator for NetSuite ERP, ensuring smooth operation, accurate data flow, and system reliability.
  • Configure and maintain NetSuite modules, roles, workflows, and integrations to align with evolving business needs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations) to design and implement scalable enhancements and process improvements.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and coordinate timely resolutions.
System Integration & Acquisitions
  • Lead the integration of new portfolio companies into NetSuite and related financial systems.
  • Coordinate with operations and Accounting teams to design efficient migration strategies and ensure consistency of data structures.
  • Develop and maintain integration workflows between NetSuite and other systems such as payroll, AR, FP&A tools, and AP platforms.
  • Ensure complete, clean, and reconciled data transfers during acquisitions or system transitions.
Financial Systems Development & Support
  • Support and maintain the broader finance systems ecosystem — including FP&A platforms, payroll, and expense/AR management tools.
  • Partner with FP&A to ensure alignment between system outputs and financial reporting needs.
  • Identify automation opportunities and build scalable processes to improve system efficiency and accuracy.
  • Document all financial system processes, configurations, and integrations for future reference.
Training & Cross-Functional Enablement
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to finance users on NetSuite functionality, reporting, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including user guides, process maps, and integration workflows.
  • Act as the finance systems subject matter expert in cross-functional projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience administering or implementing NetSuite ERP, ideally within a multi-entity or roll-up organization.
  • Deep understanding of NetSuite configurations, customizations, and financial process integrations.
  • Experience with ERP integrations (e.g., payroll, CRM, or FP&A platforms).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a systems mindset.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, capable of translating business needs into system solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NetSuite certifications (Administrator, SuiteFoundation, or ERP Consultant).
  • Experience supporting financial consolidations, eliminations, and intercompany transactions.
  • Prior involvement in ERP integrations during acquisitions or system migrations.
  • Familiarity with other finance tools
