See what you can do with Prophix

Prophix helps finance teams work with greater flexibility and confidence through Prophix One™, our Financial Performance Platform. We bring planning, reporting, and automation together so people can focus on higher-value work instead of repetitive tasks. As we introduce more AI-enabled capabilities, you will be part of a human-centered innovation journey where intelligent tools support better outcomes while people lead the decisions that matter.

We're headquartered in the Greater Toronto Area, with teams and offices across North America, Europe, and Australia.

As a Consolidation Consultant on our Professional Services team, you will lead complex financial consolidation implementations for mid-to-large-market clients across multiple industries—guiding them from initial requirements through go-live and beyond. You’ll work directly with CFOs, Controllers, and finance teams to design and configure Prophix One™ as their primary consolidation and close engine.

This role is ideal for a CPA or experienced finance professional who has lived inside the consolidation process—someone who understands the pain of intercompany eliminations, multi-currency reporting, and period-end close at a deep level—and is excited to solve those problems at scale through software. You will be a trusted advisor to clients while collaborating closely with internal delivery, product, and support teams.

What You Will Do

Our financail consolidation consultants lead all aspects of small-medium implementations of the Prophix Software, including:

  • Lead Requirements & Process Design: Lead discovery sessions with client finance teams to document current-state consolidation processes, identify gaps, and design a future-state solution within Prophix One™.
  • Implement & Configure Prophix Consolidations: Architect and configure Prophix’s consolidations module including intercompany eliminations, equity pickup, minority interest, multi-currency conversion, and cash flow reporting.
  • Data Integration & Validation: Map client data structures (chart of accounts, legal entity hierarchies, currency tables) to Prophix and validate data integrity across source systems.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure delivered solutions comply with IFRS, ASPE, or GAAP as required by the client, and document design decisions accordingly.
  • Client Enablement & Training: Coach client finance teams and super-users on platform usage, close processes, and best practices—transforming Prophix novices into confident platform owners.
  • Project Management & Stakeholder Communication: Own project communication including status updates, risk identification, timeline management, and executive-level reporting—keeping both internal leadership and client stakeholders aligned.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing, methodology improvements, and the evolution of Prophix’s consolidation delivery practice.

Requirements

What You Will Bring

If this role excites you but you don’t meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply. At Prophix, curiosity, adaptability, and diverse perspectives matter. Your experience may be exactly what we need.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in financial consolidation, financial close, or external/management reporting—ideally gained in a multi-entity, multinational environment.
  • Demonstrated experience producing consolidated financial statements including elimination of intercompany transactions, equity method investments, and minority interest calculations.
  • Strong working knowledge of multi-currency consolidation including translation, remeasurement, and foreign exchange adjustments.
  • In-depth understanding of at least one of: IFRS, ASPE, or US GAAP—and the ability to apply those standards within a software configuration context.
  • Solid understanding of the full financial close cycle including cash flow statement preparation and consolidation-to-reporting workflows.
  • Strong client-facing skills: you are comfortable leading meetings, managing expectations, and presenting to senior finance leaders and C-suite executives.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally; valid passport required.
  • Comfortable using AI tools responsibly to support tasks such as research, documentation, and data review.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in the country where this role is located

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in good standing—strongly preferred.
  • Experience implementing or using a dedicated consolidation or CPM platform (e.g., Prophix, OneStream, Tagetik, Hyperion HFM, Cognos Controller, BlackLine, or similar).
  • Experience working in or consulting to a SaaS, technology, or consulting organization.
  • Strong technical aptitude: you pick up new software quickly and can translate accounting logic into system configuration.
  • Exposure to ERP integrations and data mapping between source systems and a consolidation platform.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery).

Benefits

What Success Looks Like

  • 30 days: You know our platform, our delivery methodology, and how the PS team operates. You’ve completed onboarding, shadowed active implementations, and started contributing to live client work.
  • Within 90 days: You’re owning deliverables end-to-end on at least one active implementation—leading client sessions, configuring solutions, and managing your workstream independently.
  • Within 6 months: You’ve taken a project through full delivery. Clients trust you as their advisor, your internal peers rely on your consolidation expertise, and you’re actively contributing to improving how we deliver.
