The Role
The Strategic Pricing Team advises a cross-functional group of leaders on how to manage growth and profitability for Cash App and Afterpay's expanding suite of global payment network products. The team sits in the Finance & Strategy organization and spends the vast majority of its time partnering with leaders in Sales, Business Development, Account Management, Product, Product Marketing, Operations, and more.
We are looking for a Finance & Strategy Senior Analyst to join us at Block and help scale Cash App and Afterpay's expanding suite of global payment network products. Reporting to the North America Strategic Pricing Lead, you will work closely with the Sales team and play an essential role driving pricing and strategy as we negotiate with key partners.
You Will

  • Establish pricing across Cash App and Afterpay's portfolio of payment products to balance growth and profitability
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to advise business partners during negotiations with the largest retailers in the world
  • Develop strategic frameworks to streamline internal operations and decision making
  • Evaluate pricing trends internally and across the broader payments market
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional stakeholder group in a fast-paced environment


You Have

  • 2 + years experience in an investment banking, consulting or strategic finance position
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or other relevant field
  • Excellent financial modeling skills (you should be prepared for an Excel-based case study)
  • Excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to execute independently and partner with team members of all levels

The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

$103,800 - $155,800 USD

$98,200 - $147,400 USD
