About the Role
We’re looking for a versatile, curious, and driven individual to join our team as Analyst, Finance Solutions. In this role, you will work with a highly skilled and motivated group, with your efforts directly enabling process modernization and driving a culture of continuous improvement within Finance Operations. You will support the delivery of scalable automation and data analytic solutions for cross-functional process transformation initiatives that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
What You’ll Do
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline, simplify, and automate Finance Operations processes.
- Support the development of automation solutions using tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Power Automate, ChatGPT, or through collaboration with IT and RPA teams.
- Prepare process documentation, standard operating procedures, and user training materials to support the adoption and sustainability of re-engineered processes.
- Build and maintain business intelligence dashboards and reporting tools to communicate complex operational performance through KPIs, benchmarking, and exception reporting.
- Establish or monitor data pipelines, including accessing raw data feeds, building SQL queries, and preparing structured datasets for analysis and visualization.
- Support change management activities by developing rollout strategies, engaging stakeholders, and incorporating feedback into ongoing process improvements.
- Maintain financial data processes aligned with Finance Operations to ensure quality and readiness for advanced analytics and insight generation.
- Provide ongoing support to process owners through clear governance frameworks, accessible tools, and addressing frequently asked questions.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by equipping peers and teams with accurate data, best practices, and process guidance for sustained operational excellence.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Data Analysis, or a related field of study.
- 1–2 years of experience in business process engineering, finance process modernization, or as a data analyst.
- Experience in data querying, transformation, and visualization using SQL, Python, Snowflake, Power BI, or similar business intelligence tools.
- Strong analytical background with the ability to break down and solve complex problems using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with low-code automation platforms such as Power Automate, Alteryx, or Smartsheet.
- Experience using ChatGPT or other generative AI tools to enhance productivity.
- Experience writing process documentation, training materials, and reports to support change initiatives.
- Self-starter with a curious mindset, quick to adapt in fast-paced environments and committed to continuous improvement.
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Location: Toronto
The hiring base salary range for this position is $62,600 – $86,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
