Job Title: Finance — Subject Matter Expert

Level: Senior Advisory

Department: Finance

Status: Contract (10-15 hours/week)

Work Location: Fully Remote

Compensation: Hourly ($250)

About the Role: We seek an experienced Finance SME to support our strategic financial initiatives, focusing on fundraising, financial planning, and investor engagement in our high-growth AI startup.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead comprehensive fundraising efforts through strategic financial modeling
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis of venture capital trends
  • Develop robust financial forecasting and budgeting strategies
  • Ensure regulatory compliance in fundraising and investment activities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align financial planning with organizational goals
  • Craft compelling financial narratives for potential investors
  • Support strategic decision-making with data-driven financial insights

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, or startup finance
  • Proven track record in successful fundraising campaigns
  • Advanced expertise in financial modeling and startup valuation methods
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Deep understanding of startup financial ecosystems
  • Exceptional ability to synthesize complex financial information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or CFA designation
  • Extensive experience in AI/technology sector financing
  • International fundraising experience
  • Published financial research or thought leadership
  • Previous startup leadership roles
