About the role

Foxglove is an observability platform for robotics. Our solution powers some of the world’s leading robotics and self-driving companies.

We are looking for a Finance and Operations Lead to report to the CEO. This role is an opportunity for strategic partnership with company leadership, with high levels of autonomy and program/project management. It will involve a wide range of responsibilities and ownership across finance, legal, and purchasing.

Our ideal candidate will thrive in our small, fast-paced and remote-first company, able to execute effectively against short term priorities, while also identifying and driving strategic initiatives across a range of disciplines:

  • Finance: Prepare company budget and financial models, headcount planning, manage AP/AR process, coordinate with sales to ensure accurate revenue recognition, manage accounting firm, vendor management and procurement.
  • Legal: Manage customer and vendor contract negotiation, engage with outside counsel on legal matters including contracts, HR, intellectual property, and privacy.
  • Strategy: Track and report on company KPIs, coordinate with company leadership to prepare QBRs and board materials.

While we do not expect you to have depth in all of these areas, our ideal candidate will be able to go wide across all areas and deep in a few.

Location

We're a small, remote-only company, with staff in the U.S. and Australia. We sync daily to connect socially, brainstorm, and share progress.

For this position, we're looking for someone based in the United States. 

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years experience in finance, business operations, or other strategic roles
  • 3+ years working in SaaS or technology startups
  • Experience driving cross-functional initiatives forward with speed and efficiency
  • Self-starter, motivated by achieving measures and goals within the team setting. Strong desire to make the entire team successful
  • In-depth knowledge of Google Sheets/Excel, HubSpot, QuickBooks
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, small company environment

Bonus points

  • Experience working at both start-up and mid-large size companies
  • Experience in the robotics or AV industry

What we offer

  • For this role we offer $155,000 to $175,000 salary
  • Work remotely
  • $300 monthly remote budget to build your personal workspace

  • Medical insurance coverage at 90% for employees and 75% for dependents (for US full-time employees only)
