This role is eligible for a discretionary variable compensation award that considers business and individual performance.

Job Description:

Department Overview:

The TDS Payments & Technology Finance team delivers end-to-end financial management, decision support, and strategic advisory to TD Securities (TDS) and Payments Technology, driving disciplined expense management, transparent reporting, and high-quality insights that enable senior leadership to make informed investment decisions across the technology portfolio.

TDS Payments & Technology supports TD Securities’ global capital markets business through innovative, scalable, and resilient technology solutions across trading, client experience, risk management, and regulatory compliance. The organization builds and operates critical platforms across Global Markets, Investment Banking, Transaction Banking, and Research, while enabling enterprise payment capabilities across all payment rails.

Accountabilities:

The Finance Manager will report to the Senior Finance Manager, Technology Finance, and will be a key strategic partner to Wholesale Technology leadership.

The role requires strong leadership, business acumen, and executive communication, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that support senior decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning, Reporting & Forecasting

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and reporting for a large, multi-jurisdictional portfolio

  • Drive expense management, allocation, and financial discipline across business lines

  • Consolidate data across multiple systems (GL, forecasting tools) into clear, actionable insights

  • Deliver executive-ready narratives on financial performance, risks, and outlook

Strategic Finance & Advisory

  • Partner with VP stakeholders to provide strategic financial guidance, challenge, and insights

  • Act as a subject matter expert across Technology Finance portfolios

  • Support development of business and financial strategies, ensuring alignment to enterprise objectives

  • Drive insights that improve cost transparency, efficiency, and risk-adjusted outcomes

Business Cases & Investment Management

  • Review business cases and integrate financial impacts into forecasts and plans

  • Identify ongoing costs and manage resource spend effectively

  • Provide challenge on investment decisions, assumptions, and return expectations

Analytics & Insights

  • Consolidate and analyze large data sets to identify key financial drivers and trends

  • Translate complex data into clear, concise executive storytelling

  • Support decision-making through data-driven insights and forward-looking analysis

Leadership & Delivery

  • Drive accountability, delivery excellence, and stakeholder alignment

  • Provide oversight and coordination across analysts to ensure high-quality, consistent deliverables

  • Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Productivity & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability

  • Leverage tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Hyperion, and OAC to improve reporting and insights

Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

  • Professional designation (CPA, CFA) or in progress is an asset

  • 7+ years of experience in financial analysis, management reporting, or planning roles

  • Experience in Technology Finance or supporting complex, matrixed organizations is an asset

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong experience with Power BI (dashboarding, visualization), Power Query (data transformation and automation), Hyperion SmartView, Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)

  • Ability to work with and synthesize large, complex data sets into meaningful insights

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities

Work activities include a blend of highly collaborative activities and individual deliverables. Individuals are expected to be onsite 4 days a week. Colleagues may spend more or less days in office as required by the business line.
