About the team + role

The Finance Systems team’s mission is to empower the organization with scalable, efficient and innovative financial solutions that drive operational excellence.

As Finance Data Developer, you will hold responsibility for ensuring the reliability, availability and maintainability of Data Lake pipelines that are integrated to ERP applications

  • Design and implement Data Lake pipelines for ingestion projects, integrating data from ERP Systems (Oracle, DB2, Anaplan, etc.) to AWS S3 buckets.
  • Work closely with corporate accounting, tax, and reporting teams to develop data queries that enhance internal reporting capabilities.
  • Develop and lead Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) in Apache Airflow using Python to automate and orchestrate data workflows.
  • Implement and maintain the Spinner framework to streamline data processing and workflow management.
  • Lead version control and deployment workflows using GitHub, ensuring smooth transitions from development to production.
  • Optimize datasets and transaction processing mechanisms to enhance data reliability and performance.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines using Spark and Airflow, ensuring high data integrity and timely delivery.
  • Work closely with upstream engineering teams to document business rules and data integration requirements.
  • Partner with Accounting teams to develop, test, and reconcile new data integrations before production deployment.

What you bring

  • 5+ years of deep technical expertise in Data Lake pipelines, Python, Apache Airflow, Spark, and AWS S3 for data integration and processing.
  • Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub, object-oriented programming (OOP), and data structures for efficient development and collaboration.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to optimize, troubleshoot, and automate data workflows for performance and reliability.
  • Understanding of compliance regulations in IT/SaaS financial systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with both engineering and non-engineering teams.

Bonus points:

  • Experience with financial systems and ERP platforms like Oracle, Coupa, Anaplan, or similar enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security best practices, and compliance standards in finance and SaaS environments.
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages (SQL, Python, Go, etc.)
  • Certified Apache Spark & Hadoop Developer, AWS Certification(s), LookML Developer or Looker Business Analyst Certification
  • Prior experience working with a fintech company

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan.
