The Finance & Business Strategy Intern will support financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting activities, assist with research for strategic planning and M&A initiatives, and contribute to data management and Power BI reporting to improve decision-making and process efficiency across business lines.

The Finance & Business Strategy Intern will support financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting activities, assist with research for strategic planning and M&A initiatives, and contribute to data management and Power BI reporting to improve decision-making and process efficiency across business lines.
- Support the finance team as an analyst, assisting with reporting and day-to-day financial activities.
- Conduct research to support updates to strategic business plans across multiple business lines.
- Assist the mergers and acquisitions team with research and analysis.
- Perform data entry and support invoicing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Support Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) through business line performance analysis.
- Assist in building and maintaining Power BI reports to enhance data insights, process efficiency, and data integrity.
- Assist team members with day-to-day tasks and ongoing projects.
- Support administrative and operational activities.
What we need from you
- Currently enrolled in University or College and working towards a degree or diploma in Business, Environmental Studies or Economics.
- Educational experience in math, accounting, economics and/or business would be an asset.
- Knowledge of the environmental services sector would be an asset.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication with strong writing and editorial abilities.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Highly organized.
- Competent when working independently, and on a team.
