Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) is one the largest IT services program for the Navy and U.S. Marine Corps (USMC), supporting approximately 400,000 seats around the world. Under SMIT, the SMIT contractor provides enterprise services to the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN), Navy-Marine Corps Internet (NMCI), and OCONUS Navy Enterprise Network (ONE-Net) including transport, datacenter, network operations, service desk, cybersecurity, and managed Services. CDW-G supports the SMIT contractor in several of these service areas. Support our field service teams in delivering a complete end to end solution for Print Service and VTC support. You would work closely with our field service technical team to deliver a superior service to our Navy customer.
* The logistics team would move devices from a delivery location to the final installation point.
* Driving vans and box trucks up to 26' for a 300-mile radius
* Provide the unboxing and initial assembly of furniture for VTC.
* Provide the unboxing and initial power up of printers and MFD's.
* Cleanup of the area removing all packaging and debris.
* Provide for the removal of existing equipment.
* Place removed equipment in storage and/or prepare for shipment to a disposal facility.
* Inventorying and validation of asset records to track all equipment.
* Responsible for the storage, maintenance, and safe use of CDWG owned equipment at the site.
* Maintain parts inventory and distribute to field services as required.
* Perform site checks to inventory CDWG owned equipment.
* Interface with the customer and provide feedback to field service of any issues.
* Install customer replaceable maintenance parts as needed.
* Clean the covers of print equipment visited during inventory and inspection.
* Maintain site logs of all CDWG owned equipment and update logs with each visit.
* Other duties and activities as assigned. Requirements:
* Active DoD Secret Security clearance
* High school diploma
* Current driver's license
* Ability to drive moving vans, and box trucks.
* Ability to lift heavy objects.
* Ability to use transport dollies, stair climbers, hand trucks.
* Independent thinker, self-motivated, work with minimal supervision
* Willingness to comply with all current and future government requirements for base access (covid vaccination, drug tests)
* Previous experience with delivering appliances, office equipment, furniture, or similar type work.
* Maintain a professional appearance and attitude toward the customer and coworkers.
* Willingness to travel with potential overnight stays of up to five days, daily driving within a 300-mile radius (typically in rental vehicle)
* Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
