OBJECTIFS PRINCIPAUX :                                                                

Sous la supervision directe du responsable d’équipe, le représentant des réclamations assumera des fonctions de service à la clientèle et s’occupera de réclamations en sinistres pour tous les types d’assurance aux entreprises. Le titulaire du poste veillera au traitement rapide de réclamations en vue d’établir un règlement efficient, tant pour la valeur monétaire des indemnités que pour les dépenses connexes.

RESPONSABILITÉS PRINCIPALES :     
•    Gérer et coordonner directement les sinistres et mener des enquêtes en mettant systématiquement en place des contrôles et des mesures de documentation des dossiers pour faciliter le règlement;
•    Évaluer les renseignements fournis pour tous les types de sinistres et de dommages afin de déterminer l’étendue des risques pour le client et l’assureur; 
•    Mettre en place un programme de gestion des litiges efficace pour les dossiers assignés;
•    Établir des réserves dans la limite de ses pouvoirs et recommander des modifications de réserves au responsable d’équipe. Le représentant des réclamations rédige des notes claires et précises résumant les activités de chaque dossier;
•    Offrir un service à la clientèle hors pair et collaborer de façon efficace avec les courtiers, assurés, clients, réclamants tiers et autres intervenants dans le cadre du règlement des sinistres; 
•    Participer aux audits des dossiers de sinistres des clients, à leur demande et à celle des chargés de compte.

KEY OBJECTIVE:                                                                

Under the direct supervision of the Claims Team Leader, the Claims Representative performs customer service and claims functions within all lines of commercial business. The incumbent will ensure timely disposition of claims with the purpose of achieving cost effective settlements on both indemnity and expense dollars for such claims.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:     
•    Conduct, coordinate, and investigate claims directly with consistent exercise of adequate file control and file documentation to support file disposition;
•    Evaluate information on all types of claims and damages to determine the extent of exposure to the client and carrier; 
•    Effectively implement a litigation management program on assigned files;
•    Set reserves within authority and make claim recommendations concerning reserve changes to the Team Leader. The Claims Representative documents files with clear, well written file notes summarizing activities on each file;
•    Provide outstanding customer service and work well with brokers, insureds, clients, third party claimants and other stakeholders as necessary in the adjustment of claims; 
•    Assist with client claim file audits requested by the client and Account Executives.
 

Qualifications

•    Études postsecondaires
•    1+ année(s) d'expérience de travail ; l'expérience en réclamations est un atout 
•    Les permis dans les provinces autres que l’Ontario en assurance des entreprises sont considérés comme un atout
•    La désignation de professionnel d’assurance agréé (PAA) est considérée comme un atout 
•    Capacité de travailler de façon autonome et d’assimiler, à partir de sources variées, des connaissances sur un vaste éventail de sujets;
•    Excellentes compétences en communication écrite et orale et bonnes capacité d’écoute;
•    Grand esprit d’équipe avec préférence pour le travail dans un contexte de collaboration;
•    Compétences supérieures en négociation et aptitudes pour la diplomatie;
•    Capacité éprouvée à déterminer les besoins des clients et à y répondre;
•    Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook);
•    Sens aigu de l’organisation et bonne gestion du temps.

•    Post-secondary education
•    1+ year(s) of work experience; claims experience is an asset 
•    License (s) in provinces outside of Ontario in Commercial Lines are considered an asset
•    CIP is considered an asset 
•    Ability to work independently and assimilate learning materials on many different subjects from various sources;
•    Strong oral and written communication skills as well as listening skills;
•    Committed team player with a preference to work in a collaborative setting;
•    Excellent negotiation skills with an aptitude for diplomacy;
•    Strong customer orientation to respond to and support customer needs;
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook);
•    Effective time management and organization skills.
