Duration: 520 Hours (approximately 3 months) 

Work location: Remote (with hybrid options in Toronto)

Compensation: Hourly ($32)

About the Role: We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented ESG Content Writer Intern to join our team within the ESG department. This role is perfect for a Master’s level student with a strong interest in sustainability, corporate responsibility, and effective communication. As an ESG Content Writer Intern, you will work closely with our team to create compelling and impactful content, support the development of ESG reports, and contribute to the communication of key sustainability initiatives and strategies to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and write engaging content related to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, trends, and achievements.
  • Develop and maintain ESG communication materials, including reports in alignment with companyy standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights for accurate and impactful storytelling.
  • Support the creation of content for social media, website updates, and internal communications to enhance ESG visibility.
  • Edit and proofread ESG-related content to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor ESG communications to inform content strategy and storytelling approaches.
  • Assist in drafting presentations and reports for leadership, stakeholders, and investors to communicate ESG progress and initiatives.

About You:

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Administration, Environmental Science, Journalism, or a related field required. Master’s program enrollment or completion is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) principles and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) strategies.
  • Proven writing and storytelling skills with experience creating content for reports, articles, or communications.
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting, ESG trends, and related global frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD).
  • Experience with research and translating technical ESG insights into clear, concise, and engaging content.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

Recruitment Process:

  1. Application Submission: Candidates are invited to submit their resumes and cover letters through our career portal.
  2. Written Questionnaire: Selected candidates will receive a set of 10 written questions to assess their fit and technical knowledge..
  3. Video Questionnaire: Candidates who successfully pass the written assessment will be asked to answer 10 additional questions to be submitted in a video format to further evaluate their skills and cultural fit.  The ability to video record your answers will be required.
  4. Evaluation: Our team will review the responses to both questionnaires. Candidates who meet our criteria will be invited to the next stage.
  5. Orientation Session: Successful candidates will be invited to participate in an orientation session where they will learn more about Vosyn, our projects, and what to expect during the internship. After this session, you will be given the opportunity to opt-in if you believe that this internship is for you.
