Lead design and architecture of custom Workday Extend applications, translate business requirements into technical designs, implement scalable secure solutions, integrate with Workday core, conduct code reviews, provide post-implementation support, and mentor junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities :- Lead the design and architecture of custom applications utilizing Workday Extend, ensuring seamless integration with Workday's core functionalities. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements, translating them into technical specifications and design blueprints. Develop and implement scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions within the Workday ecosystem. Provide thought leadership on best practices and architectural design, ensuring alignment with Workday’s guidelines and standards. Partner with cross-functional teams, including Workday Functional Consultants, Developers, and Project Managers, to ensure the successful delivery of custom applications. Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and ensure adherence to development standards across all projects. Stay informed about new Workday Extend features, product enhancements, and industry trends to inform solution design. Offer post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and ongoing enhancements for custom applications. Mentor junior developers and architects, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team. Qualifications:- Over 5 years of experience with Workday Integrations. At least 2 years of experience in developing applications using Workday Extend (formerly Workday Cloud Platform). Strong expertise in Workday HCM, Financials, or related Workday modules. Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable cloud-based applications. Deep understanding of Workday’s APIs, data models, and security protocols. Experience with web services, REST, and SOAP APIs. Proficient in programming languages such as JavaScript, XSLT, or Workday-specific languages like Workday Studio and EIBs. Preferred Skills:- Workday certification in Workday Extend or other relevant Workday certifications. Experience in client-facing consulting or technical advisory roles
