Job Description

Reporting to the EPC Sales Director, as the EPC Business Development Leader, you will be responsible for developing and executing Engineering, Procurement and Construction strategy, partnership development and growth acceleration.

You will be accountable for building plans to influence RA’s specification positions and develop a portfolio revenue stream. You will take a leadership role in creating and executing the EPC business plan, along with developing C-level relationships with targeted EPC firms. Further, you will be responsible for defining the Partner Ecosystem for the EPC including delivery partners and technology partners aligned with the business unit's biggest growth opportunities.

This position is preferred to be based in Houston, Texas or Toronto, Canada and will report to our Regional Sales Director, EPC.

Responsibilities - What You'll Do: 

  • You will lead the overall partnership & performance Annual growth planning and execution including targets, competency, and future investments​ Manages complexity, regularly overcome objections​, and adaptable to change​ Manages business with discipline​ & identifies opportunities for deeper collaboration Balance stakeholder commitments​ Collaborates with Industry team on overall strategy Inspire, influence, lead and communicate across a diverse team not under direct management​ Customer-centric business advocate​.
  • You will serve as domain expert around Services business and continuously build competency within your team and supporting teams Ability to translate customer's industrial business drivers into automation solutions and articulate unique value of solution portfolio. ​ You will lead the business development and understand the technical acumen for the industries aligned with the EPCs Responds to RFQ’s Responsible for defining competency expectations of their resources including sales leaders and domain experts.
  • You will analyze market conditions, develop an annual business plan and coordinate its implementation to understand market conditions, competitive forces, determine market share, and identify opportunities for growth. You will develop and implement strategies to attack competition and grow market penetration Proven track record of ability to manage multiple partner relationships while achieving target outcomes​ Commercially and technically articulate Rockwell Automation’s value proposition in the process and solutions. You will administer and implement marketing programs and launches

The Essentials - You Will Have 

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States or Canada (based on current physical location) without sponsorship. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Able to travel up to 40%

The Preferred - You Might Have:

  • 8+ years of sales experience with Engineering firms and Industrial Automation Demonstrated in depth knowledge & understanding of Industry Standards Ability to influence and guide team members when required.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in market development and program execution experience​
  • Sales track record of sustained portfolio growth and performance

ability to translate customer's industrial business drivers into automation solutions and articulate unique value solutions

  • 8 years' experience in collaborating with cross functional teams, more specifically with Industry Sales Teams on developing execution strategies
  • Proven ability to forge relationships and garner influence with C-level contacts
  • Ability to tailor value statements and proposals specific to your contact and target audience
