In Canada, we support the work of thousands of leading Canadian charities, higher educational institutions and healthcare foundations. The Enterprise Account Executive joins our Higher Education team in Canada, currently working with more than 110 universities and colleges across the country via: 

  • Leading Advancement CRM solutions that support these institutions in raising billions of dollars in support of their missions  
  • Scholarship and bursary management technology that manages hundreds of millions of dollars in financial aid, helping to provide more students with access to an affordable education 
  • Other world-class tools in alumni engagement, endowment / restricted fund management, digital marketing, and more  

What you’ll do

You will be supporting and expanding the great work our current Canadian Higher Educational Institution customers are already doing while also prospecting and onboarding new customers onto our solutions. The Account Executive will drive and strategize towards achieving their sales goals to help drive even better outcomes for our customers and prospects by doing the following:  
 

  • Manage sales activities to exceed assigned revenue objectives (quota).  
  • Create tactical and strategic plans with specific measurable time frames to penetrate an account. 
  • Collaborate with Customer Success Managers to generate additional revenue from existing client base. 
  • Be accountable for managing Blackbaud’s Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for strategic pursuits.  
  • Becoming a 'trusted business advisor' and establish Executive relationships at senior levels within client accounts. 
  • Provide cross-functional leadership and manage resources such as online demonstrations and proposals to educate clients, align partners, and advance sales cycles. 
  • Work closely with our professional services team to present a total solution. 
  • Build and maintain an accurate pipeline and timely sales forecasts to management. 
  • Develop a deep understanding of industry trends. 
  • Limited travel is required throughout the year in Canada and the United States which includes occasional staff meetings, attending industry conferences, and on-site engagements at customer locations.   

 
What you'll bring 

  • 5+ years’ experience selling enterprise systems (eg. SaaS, CRM) large, complex SaaS CRM or relevant industry experience within the Higher Education sector (eg. Fundraising, Advancement Services, etc.). We are looking for someone who either has sales experience in the Higher Education space or alternatively, has worked directly in the Higher Education sector and can leverage that experience as a trusted advisor for our customers and prospects.  
  • Proven experience developing, managing and/or responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). 
  • Knowledge and experience working within a solution-selling or consultative selling methodology 
  • Experience navigating complex environments and managing multiple stakeholders 
  • Ability to thrive in a highly entrepreneurial and remote-first work culture 
  • Must be located in Canada; greater Toronto Area is preferred but not required
