We're building the next generation of sleep technology that seamlessly connects millions of IoT devices through complex mobile applications. Our iOS app handles real-time Bluetooth/Wi-Fi communication with hardware, processes massive datasets, and maintains sub-second response times across distributed systems.
You'll drive complex technical projects for our app from conception to delivery while coding alongside a team of 10+ engineers. This is hands-on technical leadership - not PowerPoint planning meetings.
What You’ll DoWeek 1:
- Jump into production issues, debug cross-platform problems spanning mobile/firmware/cloud
- Review existing codebase and identify immediate technical improvements
- Ship fixes and establish credibility with the engineering team
Within 3 Months:
- Own delivery of major features involving real-time Bluetooth/Wi-Fi device communication
- Partner with product management to scope, plan, and rapidly develop and ship features
- Collaborate with business partners to identify opportunities and areas of improvement
Within 6 Months:
- Lead cross-team technical initiatives including AI-driven sleep insights and personalization features
- Mentor senior engineers and establish team standards for code quality and delivery processes
- Be a technical leader driving business strategy through mobile initiatives and shape roadmap across the team
Technical Leadership:
- 7+ years iOS development, 4+ years leading technical projects
- Expert Swift, SwiftUI - you write production code daily, not just review it
- Experience shipping complex features with hardware integration (Bluetooth, IoT devices preferred)
- Proven track record debugging production issues across mobile/backend/hardware boundaries
Hands-on Leadership:
- Led technical teams of 8+ engineers while remaining individually productive
- Drive large technical projects with aggressive timelines from scoping through delivery
- Experience making technical decisions under pressure with incomplete information
- Track record of improving team velocity and code quality through direct involvement
Project Ownership:
- Passion for exploring new technologies and delighting our customers
- Scope and deliver features affecting millions of users with minimal production incidents
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and release management at scale
- Comfortable context-switching between coding, technical discussions, and team coordination
