Our mission is to help companies transform how they interact with their most important documents—contracts.

The Position

We are seeking an Engineering Manager - DevOps who embodies a player-coach mindset—someone who can lead and mentor a team while remaining deeply hands-on with infrastructure, automation, and site reliability. This role is ideal for a technical leader who enjoys both strategy and execution, driving DevOps best practices, improving platform scalability, and ensuring high availability of our enterprise SaaS platform. This is a hybrid role for candidates in the Greater Toronto and Kitchener/Waterloo areas.

A Week in Your New Life:

  • You spend at least 60% of your time hands-on, building and improving our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and observability stack.

  • You mentor and guide the DevOps team, helping junior and mid-level engineers level up their skills in automation, Kubernetes, and cloud security.

  • You manage the hiring, onboarding, and career growth of DevOps team members, fostering a high-performance engineering culture.

  • You develop and implement processes to improve team efficiency, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence.

  • You collaborate with senior leadership to align DevOps priorities with overall business objectives and product goals.

  • You collaborate with software engineers and product teams to ensure seamless deployments and scalable infrastructure.

  • You lead discussions on DevOps strategy and best practices, influencing key architectural decisions.

  • You troubleshoot production issues and proactively identify opportunities for reliability improvements.

  • You ensure infrastructure as code (IaC) principles are followed, maintaining consistency and security across environments.

  • You drive automation initiatives to reduce toil and improve developer experience.

  • You contribute to incident management and post-mortems, helping to build a culture of resilience and continuous improvement.

  • You advocate for security best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

  • You feel energized knowing that your leadership and technical expertise are driving operational excellence at Arteria AI.

What You Bring:

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering, including leadership or mentorship responsibilities.

  • Strong expertise in AWSKubernetes, and Terraform.

  • Experience leading DevOps transformations, introducing automation, and improving infrastructure scalability.

  • Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, observability (logging, monitoring, tracing), and security best practices.

  • Hands-on coding experience in Python, JavaScript, or Bash.

  • Solid understanding of networking principles (DNS, load balancing, firewalls, etc.).

  • Experience with DevSecOps and ensuring security best practices across infrastructure.

  • Proven ability to mentor and coach engineers, fostering a collaborative team environment.

  • Strong communication skills to work cross-functionally with engineering and product teams.

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive compensation and benefits package.

  • A leadership role that still allows for deep technical involvement.

  • The opportunity to shape the DevOps culture and practices at a high-growth SaaS company.

  • A dynamic and inclusive team environment where your expertise will have a tangible impact.

If you are excited about leading while staying hands-on, we’d love to hear from you!
