We’re looking for an Email Marketing Specialist to join our growing team (based in downtown Toronto but also open to remote candidates). 

The candidate will be developing & building email marketing campaigns such as newsletters, automated nurturing journeys, promo emails, etc., and executing email marketing strategies to drive lead generation, customer retention, and overall business growth.

They will be part of the marketing team and will work closely with multiple stakeholders including Business Unit Heads, Product Managers, Analytics, Sales, and Engineering teams to define and execute campaigns in Salesforce marketing cloud.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Plan and manage the execution of email marketing programs within Salesforce marketing cloud including development, campaign setup, scheduling, testing, quality assurance, and deployment.
  • Analyze and track email performance KPIs (open rate, click rate, unsub rate, etc.) and other related metrics (conversion rates, revenue generated, etc.) to provide actionable insights for improvement.
  • Test different email elements (copy, subject lines, design elements, etc) via  A/B testing  to enhance email templates and improve email KPIs
  • Collaborate with other cross-functional teams (Content, Analytics, etc) to ensure smooth execution of marketing campaigns and continued optimization to ensure achievement of email KPI targets.
  • Oversee maintenance and growth of subscribed email lists, ensuring compliance with spam regulations and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest email marketing trends and advocate for continued innovation and expansion of email marketing within the organization

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years in Email Marketing and at least one year working with marketing automation
  • Experience in building email journeys with Salesforce marketing cloud (required) 
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, SQL and AMPscript (strongly preferred) for email design and data segmentation.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret campaign data and refine strategies.
  • Strong copy-writing skills (ability to create first draft email copy, creative subject lines, etc.)
  • Understanding deliverability of email, barriers to making it to the inbox, DNS, IP’s, DKIM, definition of bounce reasons, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of CASL
